CREDITS IN THE DEGREE PROGRAMMES
v Each degree program consists of 120 credits for academic achievements.
v Out of 120 credits 30 credits are allocated to Part-I foundation course comprising English, Second Language, General Education Courses such as Indian Heritage and Culture, Science and Civilization and Environmental Studies, the remaining 90 credits are allocated to Part-II Core Subjects.
v 10 extra credits will be awarded to the students for the co curricular and extra-curricular achievements for the following.
a) N.C.C. – B Certificate/National Camp Participation 1 – Credit
b) N.S.S. Camp Participation 1 – Credit
c) Charity / Blood donation twice 1 – Credit
d) Sports / Games at Univ./State/National Participation 1 – Credit
e) Cultural Activities Univ./State/National Participation 1 – Credit
f) More than 90% attendance in all three years 1 – Credit
g) Project work (other than course work) 2 – Credits
h) Certificate Course 2 – Credits

EXAMINATIONS
The College shifted from Annual Examinations system into the semester system from the academic year 2007 – 08 with external evaluation as in annual examinations system.
Internal evaluation in theory was introduced for 25% of marks from the academic year 2007 – 08.
Internal evaluation in practicals was introduced for 25% of marks from the academic year 2008 – 09 i.e. from the batch of students admitted during the academic year 2008 – 09.
As per the guidelines approved and accepted by all the Autonomous Colleges under the purview of parent Andhra University to bring Uniformity in the basic structure of examinations and evaluation, the college implemented Credit based semester examination system from the academic year 2007 – 08. The academic council of the college approved the following guidelines for adoption from the academic year 2007 – 08. |
